We anticipate to meet with the participants in person for the discussion of the course material. Electronic materials will be provided through the LMS system.

References to recent review articles in the field will be provided in the introduction session of the course.
 

Contents

This lecture course will cover cutting-edge research in the field of fundamental physics experiments using neutrons, muons, atoms, molecules,...

We will explore measurements of permanent magnetic and (possible) electric dipole momements, searches for axions and other hypothetical particles not included in the Standard Model of Particle Physics.

In addition to the pressing physical questions we will shine light on the technical aspects of the implementation of the pristibnely controlled measurement environments required for the experiments.

Instruction elements reach from lecture presentation, paper reading assignements with subsequent discussion, or seminar attendance with follow up topical discussions.

This is a joint lecture series of Prof. Budker and Prof. Fertl. Instruction language will be English.
